Summer 2010

Here are some pictures of Krissy napping with me, helping Andrew with homework, helping with laundry, and helping us pack the suitcase. The tunnel is her newest toy which she loves to jump and hide in. Our garden has been growing a lot lately and we just harvested two okra today. We'll have to see how they taste tonight. The picture on top is of an okra flower which are very beautiful.
Andrew has been very busy with school work this summer. He just got back from a conference in Nashville of which i was very jealous of all the good food he got to eat, but he did bring me back a present of shampoo and conditioner! I've been working and taking two classes this summer. Next weekend we pick up Teresa and Jesse from the airport and then after they leave for South Korea, Ken and Arlene are going to visit, so it will be very nice to have company. Hopefully we'll have nice weather when they are here so we can spend time hiking and swimming.

  1. Awwwww.... what a great cat! Looks like lots of fun, and she obviously loves you both so much! Great pics of her studying and napping!

I think the pic of her in the dryer, she looks like Andrew. "What?! I wasn't doing anything!" Actually it makes me think of the movie Rocketman when he's in the dryer - "Houston, we have a pwroblem! I want my Mommmmma!!!"

In the suitcase, Krissy looks more like you, Christina, all sweet and innocent and saying, "Please, take me with you! I'll take pictures for you! I want to eat all that cool food, too!" =)

I hear you, Christina, on the husband-eats-good-food trip while the wife is home... Dustin was in Chicago Tues & Wed, and the kids & i ate leftover tuna helper one night. haha (but i can't complain, i actually like leftover T.H.

And wow, what an awesome garden! Wow! Nice screened-in area you guys have. Have you had anything produce yet besides the okra? I bet it tastes SO good!!

Hug each other for us and scratch Krissy behind the ears =)

    Love you guys!

  2. Love all the pictures . . . aren't cats just the funniest creatures . . . and soooooo cuddly!

I remember the first time I grew okra . . . I was totally surprised by the beauty of the flower. How did you cook your okra?

We can hardly wait to see you both in a couple/three weeks . . . depending on jury duty!

    Love you both!
